The Victorious Brides Visit

There was great excitement in the school on the Monday after the Minor County Final as the victorious St Brides footballers and mentors paid a visit to the GP hall with the Fr Larry Murray Cup. It was the first time that the Brides had won the Minor Championship in their history and all the pupils were invited to wear the club jersey to school to add to the sense of occasion. Mr. McDonnell paid tribute to the panel of players who edged past the Geraldines in the final the day before and urged the team to return in a few years time with a Senior Championship Trophy. David Reilly, the manager, introduced each player to rapturous applause and his son and captain of the team Patrick spoke of the importance of the pupils continuing to develop their skills and training hard.
