School Football News
Unbelievably out of the 8 GAA competitions our 4 school teams entered since September our courageous competitors reached the finals of all but one. Out of the seven finals reached, unfortunately, the boys and girls could only manage a single win– the Girls Go-Games Competition. However, reaching the final stages of so many blitzes and competition is to be commended and celebrated. It shows that the tradition of boys/girls football, hurling and camogie are alive and well in Knockbridge. The children’s experiences will help to build character and bodes well for the future of our local teams. We wish all our 6th class pupils well in their future sporting endeavours especially Ronan Murphy (5th Class), Kate Keenan and Emma McArdle (both 6th Class) who will be representing the school in Croke Park during the All-Ireland Semi-Final and Final this summer having won the County INTO Skills Challenge.
