Breaking News!
May 6th: We are proud to announce that An Taisce has awarded us our 3rd Green Flag. A very well deserved THANK YOU to Mrs. Rankin, Mrs Mc Kenna and the Green Schools Committee for all their hard work over the last two years.
May 23rd: Mrs Rankin travelled to Dublin with Ordhnait and Chad, two sixth class Green Schools Committee members. They were congratulated on the wonderful work that had been done in the school in regard to water conservation. Pictured below are Mrs. Rankin, Chad and Ordhnait receiving the Green Flag.
Platinum Award 2011
Once again our school was awarded a Platinum Award in the Louth Local Authorities Award Scheme 2011. The judges were very impressed with the general appearance of the school grounds and in particular with the ceramic pots of petunia and the borders of pansies and verbena at the entrance to the school. They commended us on the high standard of "fantastic projects undertaken by every class this year to create an awareness of the importance of water for life," and congratulated us on being awarded our third Green Flag. They also commented on our Litter Management and the vigilant litter wardens from Fifth and Sixth Classes who patrol the school and paid tribute to Mrs. Mullen's Senior Infants who dominated the Tidy Classroom Competition this year winning it consectively for six months!
