Sponsored Walk 2011

The Junior section of Knockbridge NS held their fourth annual Sponsored Walk at Stephenstown Pond on Tuesday 10th April in brillant Spring weather. The pupils from Junior Infants to 2nd Class made their way around the pond in the company of their teachers, parents and Rang 6. The Easter Bunny had been busy before the children arrived and all classes enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt when they had completed their walk. The children had a wonderful morning at the pond which finished off with a Teddy Bears' Picnic before catching the bus back to school. Many thanks to all who contributed to the success of the event and especially the many parents who were on hand to keep an eager eye on the little ones. So far €4,100 has been collected, which is a tremendous response given the tough times which currently prevail.
